A hot tub blanket is a must have hot tub accessory. The hot tub blanket is designed to float on your hot tub water's surface. This floating blanket is light weight and made of thick polyethylene foam. The floating hot tub blanket effectively eliminates evaporation in your hot tub by 90-99 percent. By eliminating the evaporating process, a floating blanket can reduce cost of having a hot tub:

  • By lowering heating cost - Reduced the moisture level between the insulation cover of your hot tub and the water surface can cut down on heating costs because of less evaporation.
  • By lowering chemical cost - Chlorine and Bromine are used to sanitize your hot tub's water but they can eat away and even bleach the underside of your hot tub covers once they are evaporated and dissipated in the air. Less evaporation equals less chemical expense. You do want to be able to wear your gold hoop earrings in the spa, right ladies?
  • By lowering water cost - Once you have successfully eliminated evaporation from your hot tub, its water's chemical balance will remain more stable and can go on longer without that much water changes.
A filter for your hot tub's filter? Another must-have accessory for your hot tub is the pre filter. A pre filter is actually a filter for your hot tub filter. It allows purification of your tap water by reducing total dissolved solids that may contaminate it. A pre filter increases the water quality of your hot tub and the life of the main filter as well. Pre filters come in various sizes, some are even disposable. Deciding on the right filter to use isn't easy as compared to when you buy cake pans or other household items. Consult the owners manual to ensure proper fit and compatibility. Be careful when purchasing off brand compatible replacement parts, the original manufactures equipment (or the OEM brand) is generally best if you're unsure.
