AquaChek TruTest Digital Test Strip Reader

Hot tubs or spas are a great way to relax after a hard day’s work, and they may even have therapeutic benefits. As with everything else, however, this comes at a price and it isn’t just the dollars you have to pay for the hot tub and your contractor. You will need to continually ensure that it is sanitary and hygienic. Often, this is done with the addition of chemicals like chlorine, bromine, sodium bicarbonate to raise alkalinity, or sodium bisulfate to lower it among others. Too much of these, however, can result to more harm than good. It is therefore necessary to also continually monitor their levels in the spa. This can be done with the AquaChek TruTest Digital Test Strip Reader.
This digital test strip reader provides a quick and accurate way of checking chlorine or bromine levels as well as pH and total alkalinity. All that is needed to be done is to submerge the test strip into the hot tub, shake it off once to remove excess water, and insert it into the strip channel on the reader. In approximately 15 seconds, the readings will appear on the 1 1/8-inch square LCD display showing their numerical values. In case you can’t remember what the proper levels are, the display will also indicate whether the results are “ok”, “low”, or “high”.
The reader is capable of storing the last nine readings making them available for comparison with the latest figures. It runs on two size AA alkaline batteries. Since it is used in close proximity with water, it is waterproofed. In the event that you drop it in the tub, all you need to do is turn it off, remove the soaked batteries, dry the unit, and insert fresh batteries.
The AquaChek TruTest Digital Test Strip Reader has measurements of 5″ H x 3″ W x 1.5″ D. It has ridges on its sides to provide a secure grip. It comes with 25 pieces of test strips.
