Cover Up X Spa Cover Removal System

Cover Up X Spa Cover Removal System

After working hard all day, or perhaps working out vigorously, a soak in a hot tub can be very relaxing and invigorating. What can be a let down, though, is if you cannot remove the hot tub cover without wrestling with it. It is not possible not to have a cover if you want to keep the water clean and minimize heat loss, so you will just have to live with it, perhaps accepting it as a necessary evil so you can enjoy jets of hot water massaging your back, arms, and legs. With a Cover Up X Spa Cover Removal System, however, the cover need not be thought of as evil.

The Cover Up X system is a cover removal and replacement lift that, using forward fulcrum, makes the job almost effortless. In addition to this, the Halo Torsion Spring System also contributes it own to facilitate removal of the cover. While off the spa, the cover is held by the frame of the system close to the spa casing and off the ground.

Consisting of thick aluminum tubing anchored to cast VersaMount brackets, Cover Up X provides a solid and stable frame that swings the cover away from the top of the hot tub. A tube runs along the middle of the cover where it folds into half. Both ends bend in a right angle and proceed toward the brackets anchored to the deck close to two corners of the tub. After another right angle bend, the tubes are fastened to the brackets.

The brackets can either be bolted to the deck or to mounting plates supplied with the Cover Up X. These plates have studs matching the holes in the brackets allowing them to be bolted together. The plates are inserted underneath the tub, which weighs them down.

In order to provide additional protection from rust and corrosion, the tubes are powder coated. Three colors are available –titanium pearl, metallic gray, and granite.
