Discount Spa Covers Tonneau Soft Cover

The single most important thing you can do to rein in the cost of keeping the water in your spa hot is to install a spa cover. Not just any cover will do, however. It has to have some form of insulation. Most spa covers use rigid foam as their insulating material. The Discount Spa Cover Tonneau Soft Cover, on the other hand, relies on air.

Air is pumped into an air bladder and is installed within the outer shell of the soft cover. This minimizes the heat transfer from the spa water to the environment as the bladder is wide enough to keep the air molecules inside sufficiently far apart to minimize heat transfer by diffusion, and at the same time tight enough to keep the air from flowing freely and transferring heat by convection.

The Discount Spa Covers Tonneau Soft Cover has a number of advantages over rigid foam. Over time, the latter can absorb water and eventually break. Foam is also far heavier than air, making it more difficult to work with when covering or uncovering your spa. Perhaps best of all, it is much cheaper than its foam-equipped cousins.

The soft cover is crafted from 30-ounce vinyl making it extremely durable. It is resistant to ultraviolet rays and thus does not easily fade or deteriorate even with constant exposure to the sun. Its underside is lined with 12-ounce double-laminated scrim reinforced with a tight mesh. Nylon webbing tie-downs securely fasten the cover to the spa body keeping it safe from strong winds.

The air bladder tapers towards the edges of the cover, creating a slope on which rain, snow, or hail quickly glides off. This prevents the cover from getting weighted down into the spa.

The Tonneau soft cover is available in four models: Model 100 sized from 48″ x 72″ to 60″ x 84″; Model 200, from 75″ x 75″ to 84″ x 84″; Model 300, from 85″ x 85″ to 96″ x 96″; and Model 400, octagon-shaped sized from 80″ to 88″. There is, however, only one color –gray.
