Hayward H-Series Pool and Spa Heater
Hot tubs were meant to be, well, hot. This is why one of the more important things you should consider when installing a hot tub is the heater. There are plenty of available heaters with different BTU ratings, heat delivery systems, and sources of power. Some run on electricity while others are fuelled by propane or natural gas.
Hayward H-Series Pool and Spa Heaters utilize either propane or natural gas. They are designed for above-ground pools and spas. Fuel is injected into a combustion chamber and is ignited with an electronically operated direct spark ignition mechanism. This igniter draws its power from a 120 volt electric outlet. The chamber is lined with FireTile, a registered trademark of Hayward, which assures a speedy build up of heat.
The heater integrates an induced draft system that allows continuous heating even during high wind conditions. Stainless steel burners with jet ports work to deliver a 100,000 BTU input for a quick heating of the spa. Heat is transferred to the spa through a leak-proof, one-piece copper tube with high heat conductivity.
Owing to the efficient burning of its fuel, emissions are reduced to a minimum making the H-Series an environmentally friendly heating device. In spite of the heat that rages inside the heater, the cabinet remains cool to touch thus preventing accidental burning.
