Hayward SP26SP Super Pump
Incorporating technological advances in the field of water pump development, the Hayward SP26SP Super Pump is a cost efficient equipment helping to keep your pool or spa adequately supplied with clean water and its jets with streams of pressurized water to massage your aching and sore muscles.
The Hayward SP26SP is actually a series of pumps with varying specifications. Six pumps in the series are single-speed type, while there are three dual-speed variations. Power also varies ranging from a minimum of ½ to a maximum of 2 horsepower. This allows you to choose the Super Pump that is most suitable for your specific needs. Four of the single-speed pumps have a pipe size of 1½ inches, while the other two have 2-inch pipes. All three dual-speed pumps, on the other hand, have only 2-inch pipes.
In spite of these differences, all pumps in the series have the same basic features. They all have a huge strainer basket with a capacity of 110 cubic inches, which can accommodate more leaves and other debris before it needs emptying. With its rigid construction and load extender ribbing, water can still flow freely in spite of a heavy debris load.
The basket is covered with a see-through Lexan lid, allowing you to see if it needs to be emptied. With the lid’s self-adjusting seals, leaks are non-existent. The lid is fitted with swing-away hand knobs for a tool-free and easy removal.
A heavy-duty and high-performance motor powers the self-priming pump. It incorporates airflow ventilation that results in a quieter and cooler operation. It spins a corrosion proof impeller that has wide and smooth openings to prevent clogging.
Maintenance and repair of the Super Pump is rendered convenient with the easy access to all its internal parts. You can remove the motor and drive assembly without having to disconnect the pump from its pipe connections. All you need to remove are four bolts.
