Hayward TriStar High Performance Pumps
Featuring an advanced hydraulic design, the self-priming Hayward TriStar High Performance Pumps deliver heavy-duty performance that results in a superior flow and energy efficiency. They are also capable of operating under temperatures reaching up to 122°F.
The pumps have balanced impellers that are capable of generating higher flow rates thus allowing the installation of pumps of lesser horsepower. Impeller spin off is prevented by a brass insert or lock screw that tightens in a direction opposite the impeller’s rotation. The pumps are protected from flooding due to their elevated platforms. These also results to better ventilation and thus cooler operation.
The large strainer basket is covered by a crystal-clear Tri-Lock cam and ramp lid that is easily opened or shut. Because it is transparent, you can see if the strainer needs cleaning. However, this is not going to be too often as the basket is rather large. If it does need to be cleaned, its smooth surface will facilitate the process. In spite of the large amount of leaves or other debris it can hold, a free flow of water is still assured because of the high pressure generated by the pump, as well as the rigid construction of the basket.
The Hayward TriStar High Performance Pumps are also easily installed and maintained, and can be retrofitted with existing spa or pool systems. The motor, impeller, and diffuser assembly can be detached from the pump for servicing or repairs without touching the pipe connections. All you need to do is to loosen six bolts.
