The brackets of the CoverMate II are mounted at the bottom of the spa instead of at the top like most other cover lifts. This is called the Understyle Bracket which slides below the spa. When the cover is lifted, it is first folded into equal halves. Raising the folded cover causes the tube on which it is attached to pivot on hinges mounted on the brackets at the bottom of the spa. This brings the folded cover to a level close to the deck or flooring resulting is a less obstructed view. The tube holding the spa cover is made of aluminum that is powder-coated with black enamel.
