Filters, along with chemicals such as bromine and chlorine, are necessary to keep your hot tub clean, clear, and free from harmful microorganisms. Filters are installed either before the pump or after the heater. Regardless of where they are positioned, their function is to trap unwanted materials such as dead skin or hair floating in the tub, or microbes that could cause rashes, itching, or even more serious ailments. Removing all these is exactly what MircoPure Disposable Filter Cartridges do.
MicroPure filters out debris using depth filtration. While surface filtration traps objects down to a size of 20 microns, depth filtration takes this figure down to 1 micron, thus more effectively decontaminating the tub’s water even after heavy use.
Consisting of a trademarked material called Centex, the filter is both absorbent and porous. It has channels, crevices, and caves where unwanted stuff are embedded and kept from flowing back into the hot tub.
Owing to the effectiveness of the filter, you may no longer even need chemical clarifiers, cleaner, defoamers, descummers, and enzymes. This allows you to save on your chemical costs and eliminates the hassle of measuring and pouring them into the tub at regular intervals.
At the same time, the effectivity of the chemicals that cannot be eliminated will last longer as there are lesser pollutants that they have to deal with. And because the water is kept clean, the internal water passages of the pump and heater, along with the pipes and tubes, are likewise kept clean thus prolonging their service life.
Typically, MicroPure Filter Cartriges have the capacity to continue trapping debris from two to five months, depending on usage. After all its free space is filled with the filtered material, however, it needs to be replaced. No messy cleaning is necessary. Just pop in a new filter and you are good to go.
