Shake-A-Vac II Spa and Pool Water Vacuum and Drain

In spite of diligently covering your spa or pool every time you are not in it, it is inevitable that some debris, whether grass, leaves, bugs, sand, or even pebbles, would find their way into it and settle at the bottom. As cleaning these by hand is next to impossible, you will need a spa or pool vacuum to get rid of these unwanted stuff, such as the Shake-A-Vac II Spa and Pool Water Vacuum and Drain.
Arguably, the Shake-A-Vac II is one of the easiest and most economical ways to clean your spa. Requiring only a bit of muscle power and gravity, it does not need electric power to run. It is also convenient to use as you do not need to connect hoses or empty dirt collection bags.
The device consists of a 36-inch long hollow wand attached to an 8-foot long drain discharge hose. It incorporates a siphon that is self-priming. When you are ready to vacuum your spa or pool, submerge the end of the wand, and shake it vigorously up and down in long and quick strokes. This should activate the siphon and start sucking up debris. If you want to increase the water flow, you can shake the wand again.
Water drained from your spa or pool is also kept to a minimum. A typical cleaning normally drains only about two gallons of water. This compares to a hose-powered vacuum which can add up to 50 gallons of water into the spa, thereby diluting the chlorine, bromine, or any other chemical in it.
Since the Shake-A-Vac II Spa and Pool Water Vacuum and Drain relies on gravity to draw the debris and water out of the spa, it can only be used on above-ground units. The tip of the wand should be submerged at all times with the end of the hose maintained at a lower level.
