The Spa Side Umbrella consists of a sturdy upright pole that stands on a heavy-duty steel base plate. The pole supports a curved metal rod, the lower end of which is fastened to a movable lever with a crank that adjusts the umbrella’s position; while the upper end holds the octagonal canopy.
The pole and rod are made of aluminum, making them lightweight yet durable. They are electrostatically sprayed with a power coating that attaches to them like a second skin. This provides excellent protection from rust or corrosion. The steel plate, on the other hand, is plated with zinc, also to help keep rust at bay.
With a 99-inch diameter, the canopy covers a large section of your hot tub. As it can be moved and rotated at a full 360°, you can position it in a way for it to provide a large shaded area. The canopy is made of Olefin fabric –a fabric known for its strength and resistance to abrasions, fading, mildew, and stains. The canopy comes in three colors –crème, navy, and rust.
Installing the Spa Depot Spa Side Umbrella is easy. You only need to slide the base plate under the hot tub. No drilling is required although you may need to drain or at least partially drain your tub to be able to lift it and insert the plate.
